How did this person make a difference in your life?

"I started this school year with a lot of anxiety. However, I felt that if I was open with all my teachers about this anxiety that I have, it would help my senior year be more memorable, I could live more in the moment. Mrs. Flinn has been there since the second I sent that email, she has arranged different things for me to make me feel more comfortable in my school environment, and has helped me with problems outside of my academic career. I have never felt so open, and willing to talk to a teacher before. She makes it easy to talk to, and is one of the most understanding people I think I will ever meet. I couldn't be more grateful. "She has always been there for me and has walked me through problems both inside the school, and out. Flinn will always be a safe place for you to just talk, rant, vent. She'll even buy you lunch if you needed it. Flinn has gone out of her way to make my life inside school here at R.A. Long easier and a safer place, she always keeps tabs on me regarding my schoolwork, and always makes sure to make sure I'm okay on a personal level. Outside of just being an amazing human being, she's a spectacular teacher, she's always bringing positive energy and plenty of really bad jokes. She figures out what works best for her students and she tries to build around that and bring a more energetic vibe in the classroom." - Alex
